Zawia Derna Sussa - Libya
Sidem was awarded 3 contracts in July and August 2006 for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of 8 desalination units of 20,000 m3/day each as follows: 4 units at Zawia, 2 at Derna and 2 at Sussa. The project also includes the supply and installation of auxiliary boilers, sea water pumps, potabilisation plants and 2 x 80,000 m3/day sea water intake lines at Derna and Sussa. The units are based on the MED-TVC process.
The client is General People's Commitee of Electricity, Water and Gas. The commissioning is scheduled to start in 2009.
