Sidem was awarded a contract in March 2007 for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of 2 additional desalination units of 20,000 m3/day capacity each, together with auxiliary boilers, potabilisation plant and 160 km of pipeline. The units are based on the MED-TVC process.
The client is General People's Commitee of Electricity, Water and Gas. The units are scheduled for completion in 2010.
