SIDEM has recently signed a contract for the pre- and post-treatment facilities of **Rabigh3 reverse osmosis desalination plant.**

With a total capacity of **600,000m³/day**, the desalination plant will ensure water availability and reliability to around 2 million inhabitants in the areas of Jeddah and Mecca .

The site will be equipped with **44 giant 108m² Dual Media Pressure Filters** (DMPF).

The plant is scheduled to start commercial operation on 31st December 2021.
