What did we achieve in 2020 ?
With three major contracts in progress and the successful launch of a disruptive reverse osmosis technology, SIDEM scores an excellent year and reasserts its position as leader on the desalination market.
SIDEM is designing or building three of the main desalination plants currently under construction, for a total production of 1,509,000 m3/day of freshwater in a region of the globe impacted by hydric stress.
- In the Kingdom of Bahrain, SIDEM has recently achieved the construction of a stream of 113,500 m3/day in a record 21 months.
- In Saudi Arabia, near the pilgrim city of Mecca, SIDEM has delivered, despite the COVID-19 pandemia, 44 giant 100m² DMPFs for pre-treatment.
- Finally, in the Umm Al Quwain Emirate, SIDEM is building a 682,000 m3/day SWRO plant to meet the increasing demand for water in the country.
SIDEM doesn’t simply deliver traditional SWRO plants, it has also developed and successfully commissioned a safe, compact and digital technology paving the way for the next generation of desalination plants. Installed in Oman, a 5,000 m3/d Barrel™ is a testimony to the extent of SIDEM’s unique expertise on the desalination market and was crowned 2020 Water Technology idol.
